He is Risen!

In the summer of 1992, I was blessed to be able to spend an afternoon in the Musee D'Orsay in Paris, France. Whilst upstairs, I turned the corner and came face to face with what is now my all time favorite painting, "Le disciples Pierre et Jean courant au sépulcre le matin de la Résurrection" By Eugène Burnand (1850-1921)
"The disciples Peter and John running to the sepulcher the morning of the Resurrection" oil on canvas

Breathtaking!

But what is even more incredible than the bewilderment captured by the artist on the faces of Peter and John....

Jesus suffered and died for YOU..and for ME!

May God bless you and your loved ones as we celebrate His resurrection!!!

He is Risen, Indeed!!!

Have a blessed Easter,

: )

That painting is truly remarkable, it's long been one of my faves.

Thank you so much for posting this, in all the fuss about bunnies and eggs, the true meaning often gets lost, especially in blogland.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I remember seeing a copy of this painting at Hobby Lobby. The light in their eyes is amazing! Every time I went into the store, I would just look into their eyes and wonder what they saw.
