I am an artist, designer, and preservationist who lives to be a light for the Lord and to save old houses.
A dumpster diving germ freak by trade and obsession, I love to take something neglected and turn it into something truly beautiful. Along with rearranging furniture and deconstructing 1960's "home improvements," going IN to Krispy Kreme instead of using the "drive-thru" is one of my favorite forms of exercise! Currently, I am restoring a 1910 Frankenstein of a farmhouse and a 1919 Craftsman Bungalow. Oh, and I have a tiny little shop that features vintage goodies and pretty new things for you, your home, and baby!
I saw this sweet scene whilst out treasure hunting with an old friend on Thursday. I'll have to tell you about that another day...and about the rest of an interesting weekend which included surprise visitors....some apple picking...and ring-around-the-rosie with three wee friends...
Do you suppose that this little garden cabin is a second home for some feathered friends...or have they moved out to the country permanently...where they, like I, have found a quiet, more peaceful way of life?
I must tell you, your comment on my blog really picked me up today, and inspired me to get out in the garden to soak up some of that glorious crisp late summer sun. I feel so much better this afternoon thanks to you~ Thank you my friend, xo

what a peaceful little picture. So cute that you wonder if it's their vacation home.
Hi Julie!
I just found your blog and wanted to say "Hi" from a fellow Washingtonian!
Blessings!
